THE INTERNET, VICE AND ENVY
I confess to you, my online brothers and sisters, that I have repeatedly compared my life to that of other bloggers. I have concluded my life is utterly worthless when stacked up to Naomi’s impeccable style and ridiculously incredible family activities, or even Jessica’s bounty of children, baking skills and liturgical year works of wonder.
Julie, I must confess that I too have the same feelings! If I am the least bit sad or discouraged, I can't look at some of the mommy blogs, especially the Catholic mommy blogs. They make me feel so inadequate and ordinary. Probaby something I need to work on. But I wouldn't wish the mommy blogs to go away. They are full of wonderful ideas, and are such a great tool for evangelization. Julie, thank you for your blog! So many of your posts I love. You did a piece on the rosary a while back that was fabulous. I re-read it once in a while for encouragement in my prayer life. Thank you. : )
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. It really encourages me to keep going. Those are exactly the words I was looking for "I feel inadequate and ordinary, but I would wish them away..." Great to know there are others who feel the same.
